It wasn't good until XY/Z, which is why people are so mad about SM. XY/Z was incredible, the peak of the anime in every conceivable way, and then suddenly the anime hits a new low out of nowhere with SM. It's frustrating.

I think it draws Pokemon, people and backgrounds with more color and interesting shapes while everybody in D/P through X/Y looked like Ken Dolls with sticker faces constantly doing the bare minimum while the Pokemon might as well have been McDonalds toys they moved so little outside of hype battles.

Screw that, I got on the hype train for Ash vs Alain, I stopped watching since BW, I heard Ash was gonna win the league I watched it, watched the league episodes, never again. I hated the art style of XYZ. The anime works better with comedy, Ash is a joke and they’ll never let him win it anyway
