She helped it as a Sandshrew fight a double battle. Sophecles found an Ice stone which the Sandshrew used to evolve (the part of the caves they were in was a historical Ice stone mine they used to evolve) and after it evolved, it gave Lillie the Icium-Z as thanks for helping it save their home.
