About to face Claire in HGSS and facing the infamous level curve issue. I keep reading that you're not supposed to have a full party in these games and should only have about 4 Pokemon to distribute EXP evenly. Is this true? If so, at what point can you actually utilize a full team properly?

I recently played it (GameBoy version), and used 5 Pokémon. No problem throughout the game (not easy though) until I reached the E4 with a party of 5 Lv36-38 Pokémon (having battled every trainer). It was very challenging, to say the least. It didn't helped that I late added Dewgong and Xatu to my party in the place of Slowpoke. But getting some difficulty is always good on Pokémon.

Just battle her and stop being a fag.
If anything, make a full team for the E4. If you team is around lv 34~38 by the Victory road is enough.
