When did you guys start the franchise. My journey began back in 2013 with XY. Since then I have played every 3DS title and almost all DS games (not dp). Never touched Gen 1,2 or 3.

Started with Red version when the craze was just starting up. Played at least one game from each generation. Still kind of weirded out that there are people who started with the later games, but, hey, the more the merrier. Plus, XY are my favorites, so you get bonus points.

I mean if you touched the remakes, thats fine for me. otherwise, they are good games.
I played red and blue on the gameboy of friends in school, i got my own kind of late with Pokemon Yellow. At least i was one of the first to get Gold when it was released.
I skipped Emerald, Gen 4, Black and White 1, and gen 6. Came back for Pokemon on Ultra Sun and waiting for Sword and Shield now

Not to bring age into this, but I am 21. Grew up poor so my first game was Red. I basically played the games in chronological order.

My family was too poor to afford Blue when it came out, so I had to borrow it from a friend when he was done with it.
Crystal was the first game I owned myself.

I started in 2012 with Silver on an emulator, next year XY came out and bought it. Thought it was too easy compared to Silver but still loved it, the customization and PSS were amazing to me. From there I played the previous games (hated FireRed and Plat, liked Emerald, absolutely loved BW).
