They'll add some unnecessary linkage between Cyrus and one of the supporting characters, not like how Cynthia and Cyrus have conflicting outlooks on the world but like how Lysandre and Lusamine were friends/family with supporting characters. They'll railroad the game even more; Can't even enter Route 204 without beating Roark, can't head East of Eterna City without defeating Gardenia. Can't leave Hearthome until you visit Amity Park, Can't leave Solaceon Town until you've visited the Solaceon Ruins and Lost Tower. Have to battle Wake after Maylene despite not updating the levels. Can't battle Byron until you've completed Iron Island. Can't even go through the North part of Mt. Coronet until you deal with Saturn and Mars at the Lakes. Can't surf beyond Sunyshore City until you've got Volkner's Badge.
Only the Fight Area is in the post-game the rest of the Battle Island is removed, Buck now just appears at the Battle Frontier to explain it to you. Battle Frontier is also now whatever Gen 8's is or just the Battle Tower. Pokemon percentages are still fucked for some things so good luck with the Honey Trees, also none of the Dual-Slot Pokemon appear in the post-game to compensate for the lack of that ability in the remakes. Also Looker is the post-game but it's just some shit in Jubilife City rather than the Stark Mountain Post-Game quest.
