Yep, rats come in handy.

>grab a few X Defenses and X Sp. Defenses, plus some X Accuracies
>Impish Raticate, EVs towards defenses and HP
>T-wave, Super Fang, Double Team, Taunt

And, if you start off with a Harvest Exeggutor setup you never have to worry about the legendary killing itself with struggle if it gets really shitty. A Taunt + Haze user like Murkrow/Honchkrow is also handy if it keeps boosting stats while you try to set up.

go take a look at the formulas for damage and stats and you'll see what a difference 54 levels makes

Funny thing is how it's infinitely easier to raise up in gen 7, in gen 6 it's tedious enough to max out I can see people going fuck it but in gen 7, just feed them 3 rainbow beans.
