I *expect* that Scorbunny will be Fire/Electric as much as everyone else, but I'm still vaguely holding out hope for Fire/Steel. I mean, c'mon, a speedy Steel-type is way more novel than a speedy Electric-type, and Steel isn't half as redundant to Fire conceptually as Electric is (and it's not like one is more unique than the other in any objective sense - we only have one of each, Rotom and Heatran - and fan artists give more attention to Fire/Electric than Fire/Steel, so it feels more overdone to me even though there are no more of one than the other in actual canon).
Of course, I will probably be rather disappointed with any other type for it - even as someone who loves Fairy-types and who picked Primarina last Gen, and even knowing that Fire/Fairy is the only option left that would be fully unique for a Fire-type starter (well, or Fire/Grass, but that's not happening AND it falls into the same trap I'm about to mention), I don't think Fairy plays to ANY of Scorbunny's existing strengths or features, and it would feel awkward and forced. I'd be happy to see that go to something else, but I don't want Scorbunny getting that at all.
As for the other two, it's hard to say! I think Grass/Dark is a more interesting option for Grookey than Grass/Rock, but I'm not that huge on Grookey so I don't think its outcome will massively sway me either way. (If anything, its best chance for me is to be anything massively surprising rather than to be the coolest predictable outcome, but I don't need every starter to be a favorite and I think that has the potential to be alienating to the people who... y'know, actually plan on picking it, so I don't think it's right to hope for that.)
And... Sobble is that it's my favorite of the basic stages, but I honestly don't have a strong preference type-wise (and I feel like just about any type could lead as easily to a good evolution as to a botched one). I'm just hoping for the best design, whatever that entails!
