The Megas should've went to the Kalos starters instead. This is the only reason why another region's starters were made available in the main game.

fucking duh. the problem is when you keep adding and adding to the list and when looking at the whole picture you end up with a game that can't stop screaming at you ''HEY REMEMBER KANTOOOOO''
the kanto pandering complaints stem purely from the sheer abudance of it, the only good easter egg is one done subtly and moderately, cumulative overpandering is only annoying and intrusive

Friendly reminder that Kanto Pandering on its own isn't an unforgivable sin, but it proves to show how GameFreak can't think of a meaningful way to add to the game without falling back on DUDE NOSTALGIA LMAO to keep people from noticing the game's flaws beyond said nostalgia pandering.
