>>38177857It's kind of ironic when you realize how short lived Misty's character really was in the anime. She was axed when the franchise was only 5 years old, the entire anime was in it's infancy at that point, and it really did turn out to be the permanent end of her besides brief cameos for the next 17 years.
I still remember to this day how people did, and still do, try to make such a big deal out of Misty leaving, yet she's only in 25% of the animes total episodes, the ENTIRE SERIES is now after she left, and there's now been 8+ female companions after her proving she can be replaced with any type of female character and the show marches on.
It really blows my mind when you realize all those obsessive "bring Misty back" people on other forums/social media have literally been doing this for 17 years now...that's almost 20 years of their lives. And most of them are like 30 year old adults now. Yikes.
