Hi, /vp/! So today I receive this item and it's gonna be my first time ever using it. I'm excited and I'm gonna start a new game on Soul Silver cardtrige (the only one I got). Any tips/advices? I hope to get the full Soul Silver experience as much I can.

Nothing really to suggest. Just have fun, it's probably the best peripheral for a Pokemon game. The only bummer is that there's no way to get the bonus paths that gave unique Pokemon like Bounce Magikarp, but there's enough to enjoy in the base game.

You can buy Fire Red and leaf green and stick it into ds light

I heard you can catch some Pokémon when both cartridges are inserted!

If you wear a belt, clip it securely to that or your wallet or the inside of a bag.
Keeping it in your pocket is the fastest and easiest way to accidentally wash it and kill it. They take even a little water they are gone for good.

Don't forget to connect to fan wifi connection servers to download event routes like Winner's Path and Yellow Forest. You can get rare stuff like SelfDestruct Munchlax and Flying/Surfing Pikachu.

While I love it, it has an annoying problem: if a pokemon levels up to a level in which it'd normally learn a move with the pokewalker it won't learn it. I messed up my first HG playthrough because of this. You can only level up once per walk so always check your pokemon's learnset before sending it to the walker.

Not OP, but how do you unlock the new areas? Do you need to spend Watts on it or once you reach the ammount they'll be unlocked in the game selection?
