>>38182080Actually a checklist will make things more clear, I don't expect everything I list, but I do expect at least a third.
- 100+ New Pokemon (w/ <15 Legends/UBs)
- Large 13+ Town/City Region
- Nodal Design, i.e. multiple objectives available in chunks rather than a straight linear progression
- Character driven story rather than Lore driven story, cutscenes should be kept low as text dialog is faster
- Lore should be relegated to side content and should be plentiful, should also aim to arc weld the games together
- Safari Zone/National Park Equivalent that attempts to improve on the design
- Pokeathlon/Pokestar Studios or some other mini-game based hub location with equal depth
- Battle Frontier (5+ Fac.)/Pokemon World Tournament, either or, although both would be incredible
- DexNav or equivalent, should iterate on the concept and retain at least the ability to get Pokemon with Baby Moves
- Vs. Seeker or ORAS Rematch Battles
- Side Characters who aren't critical to the core plot but do have a role in the overall progression for the player (e.g. Mr. Fuji, Kurt, Mr. Briney, Rad Rickshaw, etc.)
- Regional Variants & Mega Evolutions, iterate on the former by making it favour Pokemon with lower BST and make high BST Megas like the Mewtwos and Rayquaza more of an alternate form rather than a straight power boost.
- Removal of Z-Moves and heavy nerf of Ultra Necrozma, its BST should be 700 like the Kyurem forms.
- Increased depth of Puzzles, this would include added functionality to the HMs so they can be used more for Puzzle Solving rather than just simply obstacle progression. In addition also focus on expanding Puzzles for more than just Gyms, the overworld itself should require some thinking at least the first time the player progresses through it.
- Routes that aren't just a straight line from one location to the next, but rather multiple, intersecting paths with variable terrain, trainers and puzzles to them.
