Adding a hundred new shitmons that either add shitty power creep or go straight into the box isn't the only thing to this series.

my problem with pokemon is that if you only care about the single player experience the first few pokemon you encounter are essentially the team you get, unless you are some autistic faggot who actually bothers to grind up mons they find later on.

Nope. Gen 2 was one of the best. It was good that it focused on supplementing and balancing the original Pokemon instead of adding pointless reskinned shitmons.
