This will be the first generation aimed entirely at adults, right? Kids don't really have Switches, they have tablets and Fortnite. It's one thing to get a kid a cheap 2DS, since it's under a hundred, but a Switch is a big purchase. I expect a ton of jewery now since they can get away with even more from the manchild Switch owners.

Gamefreak deserves no money until they put in more effort into their games than Fallout fucking 76. There are strong rumors of a switch Pro, and some kind of budget switch as well.

A switch can easily have the price reduced by making it smaller, excluding a dock, having joycons built into the sides like a normal handheld, and maybe other little things.

They will probably keep detachable joycons forever though, or else Mario Party wouldn't work, and other gimmicky shit like labo

They sold 10 million copies of let's go, which was largely targeted at kids. Kids nowadays get giant ass tablets, and top of the line smart phones, and 300 dollar gaming systems they can easily just drop on concrete or forget on a bus.

THen millenial parents wonder why cost of living is so high and why they live paycheck to paycheck and companies need to pay a living wage.

Yet largely played by the same millennial parents you're talking about. Kids aren't interested in Pokemon. I'm a parent myself, the kids that play Pokemon are literally "that kid" nowadays. They're weird pariah outcasts for not playing Fortnite.

Even like 4 years after release they still never dropped the price, they killed it early so they could shill the switch, blatantly took out features from breath of the wild so the switch version wouldn't seem inferior, recently released DLC for captain toad but ONLY the switch version, games that could easily be dual releases on Switch/Wii U they made Switch exclusives, killed the switch faster than any other console. Fuck them, Wii U is the biggest buyer's remorse I've ever had. I'll happily pirate every switch game I can until I've gotten my money's worth for last gen.

I work in a family restaurant and the amount of spoiled little crotchmonkeys I see with fucked up switches covered in thick layers of greasy hand prints sat in a puddle of food would make you want to die.

Seriously, who the fuck blows £350+ on a fragile bit of kit like a switch + games for a kid under 8, and then just lets them slap their gravy stained little fingers all over it.

Was only able to get one because me and my bf went halves on it. It never leaves the house and it lives in its case, where it's taken out gently for a bit of Breath of the Wild and then put back to bed with a goodnight kiss.

It's honestly really a console for adults, who might want to play with their kids on it under supervision. That's literally even how it's advertised.

Pokenchi has a segment where Abareru-kun travels around Japan trading Pokemon with kids, and in the current edition he's using a Switch and Let's Go. And he's definitely encountering a lot of kids with Switches. if anything, Let's Go is pretty heavily aimed at kids in Japan.

Microsoft did that for a while with the 360/OG xbox. There was no reason Nintendo couldn't with wii u and switch being on par with each other. Or maybe if they gave good support for wii u for even one more year
