>>38193474I go in and out of it.
I loved the idea of a fire tiger and at first loved Incineroar. I’m naive enough the whole fursuit argument never hit me - just a tiger on two legs, same as many fully-evolved mons, and it has a gimmick, big whoop, tons of mons do. Eventually the fandom screeching on fursuits seeped into my mind and even a lot of positive fan art makes it way too muscular or humanoid, which is off-putting.
I occasionally see art that keeps it on model and even in the wild that makes me love it all over again. I’m surprised people just don’t draw it more as simply big cat, on four legs, etc. considering it is a tiger in the end and Pokémon is no stranger to odd proportions (Feraligatr has long arms and man-hands no real gator has, but people will draw it acting like a gator), but maybe the hate over it combined with its Smash portrayal permanently kill off the concept of it being animalistic/in the wild like the TCG portrays mons for people. I am trying to keep away from Roar to see if I can like it without conditions again. Hopefully.
