Is Ghetsis' plan retarded? Sure. Now imagine a retarded plan that contradicts the very fundaments of what he's supposed to be about just by letting the same people he hates live if they pay enough. It couls have been somewhat saved of they played the hypocrite angle like with ghetsis but the game tries to play him straight besises this blatant gaping flaw in his plan and ends up looking like the king of retards.

It's a circle sure but side areas, dungeons, ans routes that aren't just a straight narrow path are present. Alola has barely of the former and none of the latter two.
