How would you call type that is strong against psychic, fairy, dragon and rock, but weak to poison, grass, bug and steel

Strong against rock because pee is water and water weathers rock.

Dragons, Fairies, and Psychics all need to shit so they're weak to it.

Weak to poison because shit is smelly.

Weak to grass because fertilizer is shit and plants feed off that (literal) shit.

Bug because bugs decompose shit.

Steel because modern plumbing systems move shit along.

Why was it a mistake? There should be a counter to dragons besides dragons themselves and ice types were too rare to compensate that

Why does this matter? Before gen 6 nerfed it, Steel was the best type just because it resisted EVERYTHING. It's actually weaker now, which is why Metagross isn't even UU anymore.
Steel has always been a defensive type and has never needed offense to be good. One of the reasons Fairy is so broken is that both of its counters are defensive types.

Metagross was already falling off at the end of gen 5. Fairy being such a great type buffed Steel more than being weak to knock off nerfed it.
