Is there a feasible way to use more than six pokemon in a playthrough?

Everytime I've tried it feels forced and a waste of time.

This, I don't know why people bitch about the modern exp share. I'm playing USUM right now and I just cycle Pokemon out whenever they get too high level and bring new ones in. I'm almost at the League and I have like 15 viable Pokemon, none overleveled.

LGPE I used 12 Pokemon and actually had fun. I can't imagine using 6 Pokemon in that game.

The modern exp share can definitely do it, and there is something to be said for balancing the games around the assumption the player is doing that- the issue there being the 3DS games own difficulty. I would imagine even the original exp share could do it if you get it early enough; playing Sacred Gold now, which gives it to you before the first gym, and contemplating what I can do having gotten it that early.

Gen 6 onwards yeah, almost as if the exp share was intended to make folks branch out from having the usual starter route mons in their teams

Spinoffs are still Pokemon games. I also said I wouldn't have enjoyed it if I only used 6 Pokemon because it's so piss-easy.

They just marketed it as a mainline game so more people would buy it but it is still a spinoff because it replaces core mechanics from the main series
