None of the people in my school played Pokemons on Gameboy. I had to buy 2nd one get trade evolutions. I was pissed once I found out I will never get all Pokemons without using cheat engine.

It's impossible to get these Pokemons nowadays in a way the creators wanted you to get them. So idk how it extends the game's life cycle.

I remember when I got Deoxys at a local toysrus event.
I lended it to a friend and he never gave it back, he also stole my Gengar when I played Pokémon yellow as a kid.

Mythicals are at the end of the dex, don't count towards dex completion, and aren't officially acknowledged until they're distributed.
The result is that most kids don't know they exist until they're distributed.
