I remember when I got back into pokemon during the 4th generation and bought pokemon PBR I was really excited for the aspect of a mainline 3D pokemon game. But now we are there, and while most of the models are pretty spot on, the animations are nearly all stiff and lifeless and the colors are just terribly unsaturated. It was done to match the official water colors, but god damn do I wish we could go back. Not to mention of the animations like Xatu, that completely ignore the point that its suppose to be standing because its suppose to resemble a totem pole. What is even the point of everything being 3D if its all so static and most pokemon barely move, we might as well just be looking at sprites again. I just wanted all the pokemon to be energized and brimming with their personalities like the 3rd gen and 4th gen animations, but somehow they have regressed to bland shells of their former selves. It breaks my heart that Sword and Shield will follow the same suit. They likely wont even fix the issue with sizes, and we will still be stuck with a mini Wailord.
