>>38235196Leveling up your Character, Job and Race give you additional skills and abilites. Early abilities are stat boosts like HP +10% or M. Evade +10% but there are also ones that give bonus damage to certain enemy races or which give more EXP in exchange for a negative effect.
Job Skills are typical JRPG shit like various White Magic spells for Priest, or [Race] Killer for Hunters. Race skills are usually more sexual, like Slimes getting skills to apply the Slimed ailment and deal more damage to Slimed enemies with Slime Draw and Slime Pierce, and Imps getting a variety of skills which inflict Trance and Horny.
Non-magical skills consume SP, which regenerates slightly each turn you don't use a SP skill. Magic consumes MP which you recover at inns like a typical RPG.
You have 8 party members traveling with you, but only 4 can be in battle at a time. Before each turn you can freely change your active party, to bring in a thief to steal something or a priest to raise your warrior.
Recruiting new party members is similar to the PMD games, beat a monstergirl in a random encounter and there's a small chance she'll ask to join you. You can talk to them to raise their affection and increase the odds that they will join you, plus increase the odds that they'll give you free stuff during battle.
Battles are pretty standard turn based JRPGs, high agility characters/high action speed techniques go before slow characters, and if you play on one of the 3 hardest difficulties
status ailments are required. There's a massive amount of depth and thought put into the game, each race has their own list of strengths, weaknesses and immunities, there are specific and unique battle quotes for many skills, talking with generic NPCs can result in certain party members commenting on stuff, and as
