Do Sinnoh/Unova even need remakes? HGSS makes sense because d a ton of stuff was added between gens 2 and 4.
But Platinum and BW/BW2 hold up today just as well as they did at the time.
Has anything of value been added in gens 6/7 to even be worth 'updating'? Megas and Z-Moves are irredeemable trash, and the rest is just filler crap.

It's going to be Megas. Going forward, Megas are going to be the big new additions in remakes that makes them stand apart from the mainline releases and gives GF an excuse to force you to a new title for online competitive. It allows them to add content without adjusting the regional dexes and appeals to nostalgia while also hyping up something new for those old favorites.
