>>38217985Brock & Misty's don't really change much so as good as the originals, while Lt. Surge's exemplifying that military design like FRLG is good in that sense I personally prefer his more ambiguous design in the other games, still good that it's faithful.
Erika's I feel actually compliments her better than the yellow dresses did, the colours are more in line with Bellossom who fits her character better than Victreebel or Vileplume. Sabrina's is hardly different so same as Brock & Misty, Koga's unlike Lt. Surge I like more for being closer to his character basis, I think it was the right move to include the face mask for him. Blaine and Giovanni's are the same as Brock, Misty & Sabrina.
Lorelei's new design is better although in general I don't like Lorelei's design due to the type mismatch it has. Bruno's is the same but god bless that facial expression it looks like he's been training for days without sleep. Agatha's is fine, I don't really get the shoal addition although it's cool that her cane was made to look more like a Gengar. Lance's design is just better overall, it feels like it's a closer successor to the original concept art than the RGBY and FRLG sprites depicted, that being said, HGSS is still the king for Lance's design. I'm somewhat disappointed that Trace didn't get a new outfit for the Champion battle, I feel it was a bit of a missed opportunity.
Overall I'd say there's a general improvement in the attire and if it weren't for the weird choice of artstyle for the whole game they'd be really solid improvements.
