- Gave Stark Mountain an entire post-game sequence which would be something BW and B2W2 would go on to expand upon
- Introduced the second iteration of the Battle Frontier while not as numerous as Emerald's it was still a good size and variety
- Brought back the Gym Leader Rematch from Emerald although had it simplified to also allow for additional trainers
- Included a few additional post-game locations and Pokemon like the Legendary Birds and the Golem Caves
