Also a perfect way to put Gen VII fanbases. Many say either Incineroar or Decidueye, but they're both equal in terms of how cancerous they are. Definitely the worst starter fanbases. As someone who just chooses the best looking starter each gen instead of commiting to a type like an autist, i have to say this is the real deal. It's a shame too because Fire Starter Base Forms tend to be great, but their final evos tend to be either shit or just bland. Water starters have duds like Samurott and Blastoise but everything else is either good or awesome. Swampert the GOAT. Grass highs are insanely high like Torterra and Venusaur, but its lows are completely awful, like Meganium and most of the recent grass starters.

Nah, it's just a case of somebody misinterpreting something then that becoming the common view. What Sugimori had said is that Venusaur was his least favourite to draw due to its complex, which was directly before/after talking about his favourite being Gengar for its simple design. That then got mistaken as "Venusaur is his least favourite because it's hard to draw" as opposed to just he doesn't like drawing it

It said "Venusaur is his least favorite Pokemon" without any explanation or anything else regarding that.

shows that Sugimori's mentioned Venusaur when he was asked about his favorite Pokemon, but noted that it's "too hard to draw" while Gengar is so easy, that's why he wants to simplify Pokemon designs.

the whole meme was born because of one retarded page who mistranslated the interview and /vp/ took it as a weapon against Venusaur.
