Only aspect of it's theme we got right now is that it cries a lot. That's super vague and could go MANY directions.
One of those could easily be the crying being tied into the idea of Comedy and Tragedy, with it either going from tragedy to comedy, or (how i'm hoping it goes) it remaining sad but having some kind of happy "mask" it wears via the big bright yellow fin.
Another path it could be going is the idea of a "chameleon actor" which is a real term. It means a person who can play many roles seamlessly like a chameleon blending into the background. This could play into Sobble being a literal chameleon and starting off sad but going through multiple emotions as it evolves.
Sure, there's only a small chance of any of those paths being the one it goes down, but they're certainly viable paths that would tie it into a theme of cultural entertainment.
