>>38241348>Courtship has always been about the boy pursuing the girl, not the other way around.Yeah, if you only care about chivalric romantic tales and ignore how dumb that belief is. You seriously believe a girl has never won over a boy? Every successful relationship is just the boy initiated, the girl didn't have to do anything? Sure, let's say that's the norm. But so what, norms can be stupid at times. If the girl is the one who has feelings for the boy, she should bust her ass for what she wants. That is just logical, there is no entitlement. And it's far more satisfying to see a heroine be romantically active than always passive.
>>38241348>No it's not because he's doing it out of courtesy, not because he likes her. So what, we've already been over the subjective experience thing. You're closed-minded if you expect everyone to respond the same way. There is no reason a girl cannot have feelings for Ash and she doesn't need to his "permission" like you think for some retarded reason.
I don't care about about shippershit. I only bring it up to point how hypocritical shippers are. It's just no coincidence to me people are getting butthurt over the first heroine to actually express feelings for Ash. Also no coincidence she's the gentle lovey-dovey type who longs for the hero's recognition, which tons of fans have a foaming hatred for. Ash being a dip is in reality a minor issue, it has never truly bothered anyone until now that they feel threatened by actual romantic feelings held by heroine they don't like/support in the cartoon.
