Yeah, nothing pisses me off more than power creep. Luckily, this image isn't real (as far as I know) but I can foresee this kind of shit being real in the future...

I swear, so many Pokemon (especially older ones from Gen 1, 2 and 3) are in need of buffs. Hopefully that will happen in the new games

You forget Sandstorm, but then I think if Lugia drops, it will run Pressure a lot more, and in that case it gets a Substitute and PP Stalls Stone Edge or really any fucking mon in OU

Genesect, Pheromosa, and Nagandel might drop to OU if you're lucky.

Why do people believe Deoxys D is even useful for defensive purposes? What made it broken was running Hazards, Taunt, Magic Coat and shit like that because it practically guaranteed that hazards will go up while taunting mons due to it being awkwardly fast

I feel old as shit when I see Lax in RU and Gengar/Starmie/Scizor/Suicune/Celebi in UU. They all felt like mainstays in OU.

It's going to be weird when even Tyranitar somehow ends up in UU.

It feels weird when people ask for buffs in a game like Pokemon. Like, some pokemon are oviously meant to be stronger than others. They don't balance the game with competitive in mind otherwise legionaries wouldn't exist.

They do sometimes balance around VGC at least. Dark Void this gen was lowered to 50% accuracy AND fails if not used by Darkrai just because of Smeargle.

It's an issue because they build new shit around updated mechanics, gen's 1-3 are full of mixed attackers because no physical special split at the time. That and shit abilities for most pre gen 5 stuff. They need to do outright rebalancing ie lowering one attack stat to raise the other/speed.

I can see Smogonfags trying it in OU for about two weeks. They didn't want to put it in Ubers.

Still, it's the single best revenge killer and late game sweeper there is. Hits too hard, has decent coverage and absolutely nothig outspeeds it without Scarf. The only way to deal with it is using priority or Trick Room.

The Tapus would've been Ubers in Gen IV and earlier. Hell, something like Toxapex or Eviolite Chansey would've been unkillable in Gen III. Even shitty megas like Bannette, Absol and Blastoise are far superior than any Gen IV sweeper.

This isn't an answer to your question, but a Grass-type U-Turn based on using vines to Tarzan swing in the jungle would be pretty cool. Give it to monkey 'mons as well as the usual Grass-type suspects and see what happens.
