>>38237074>MagmarIt's not like Magmar was a particularly cohesive design to start with. Why the butt head? Why are its limbs connected to its body with eggs? Why are its limbs aside from its arms shiny black pipes? Why are its arms papery ruffles?
It's just a hodge-podge of ideas, as is Magmortar. There's absolutely nothing to make Magmar any better besides nostalgia; Magmortar even fixes the design up a bit; it's egg-like parts and pipe-limbs are more organically shaped.
>NosepassNosepass has always been weird. I think Probopass having a mustache is a bit too cheesy, even if it's explained by it being metal attracted to its magnetism, but again, weird design turns into weird design.
>RyhornRyhorn is hopelessly generic. I at least give props to Rhyperior for trying to give this design SOMETHING to make it stand out, but at the same time it went a bit too far. Get rid of the neon orange rocks and give it its faux-ears back and I think it'd be a completely solid design.
>gligarThis is absolutely nitpicking and you know it. Gligar's evo just enhances the design by making it overall more bat/scorpion like with thinner and more detailed arms/torso, proper ears instead of horns, and full-on claws. For the other three, my argument is basically "The evo's not great but neither is the original", but in this case Gliscor is an objective improvement and is probably one of the best Gen 4 evos in terms of accurately portraying the original in an enhanced form. Being "goofy" was never an objective part of Gligar's design, it just kinda happens to be cartoony and cutesy by design.
