>>38240016BW is the proper Unova experience while BW2 expands on the region while being a more "traditional" Pokemon game. They work well together. My main issue with BW2 is the wonky opening where there's barely anywhere to go and that they put most of the cool areas from the original (Dragonspiral Tower, Icirrus City, the Tubeline and Skyarrow bridges) in the postgame, but at least the game feels less like a straight line I guess.
