Why do we have to travel to 8+ towns to get all the medals? What's the logic behind the game being a walking simulator? Why not have one big city where you can do everything?

You don't need a building at all, just an open field with all the leaders and maybe a single grass patch to catch all the pokemon in.

So according to anon heres how we fix Pokemon:
-Every gym leader is in one building, every Elite Four is in another and then the Champion is in the second floor of the Elite Four building.
-Every single Pokemon thats available is crammed into the same route.

Not efficient enough. What we need is a text-based interface that just asks you if you'd like to challenge a gym leader or go into the grass to battle one of the 809 available Pokemon, chosen completely at random.

i'm sure i've seen some pokemon ripoff phone game like this. it was literally one building and a little outside space, looked like a daycare, and trainers would turn up and battle there, and i presume you get rewarded with new pokemon. it was the weirdest thing, the sprites were fantastic but there was 0 game at all.

If you don't enjoy that then you really don't enjoy what Pokemon is, anon. It's about raising your pets and watching them grow. The towns are really just checkpoints through that journey, not the journey itself.
