>>38246393Humans are Normal type, but that's just a formality. All humans have the ability "Vocation", which gives them types and four bonus moves, based on what that human does for a living. If you wanted to, you could judge a human's performance without using "Vocation", but keep in mind that this would be like trying to understand the viability of Ditto if it couldn't use Transform, or Smeargle if Sketch was literally its only move.
Additionally, humans have a second unique ability, "Tools", which gives a human access to unique held items, up to four of them at any given time, that can further edit their type matchups, base stats, and moves.
A humans base stats are
>HP 100>Atk 80>Def 50>SpA 80>SpD 50>Spe 100A humans base moveset is fairly barren. All humans start with Pound and Growl. Their level-up moveset is fairly lackluster as well, gaining only a few weak Normal and Fighting type moves. However, their Vocation moveset and Tool moveset can often more than make up for this.
For example, the Urban Survivalist build, made up of the Urban Survivalist Class, and four tools, is a fairly widely known build.
Urban Survivalist makes the Human Normal/Poison, and gives them the moves Poison Gas, Stock Up, Future Sight, and Dig.
Additionally, the four tools of the build.
>Pocket SandGives the human Sand Attack, makes Fighting type attacks one stage less effective, and increases their base attack and speed by +20
>Molotov CocktailGives the human the move Lava Plume, and increases its special attack by +40
>Bullet-Proof VestGives the human the ability Bulletproof, access to the move Iron Defence, increases their base Def and SpDef by +30, and decreases their base speed by -10
>Pocket KnifeMakes the human resist Normal type attacks, gives them the move Smart Strike, and increases their base attack by +20.
The combination of their vocation and tools means every human can be considered a threat in the world of Pokemon.
