I gotta get it out of the way: No more dinosaurs

Dinosaurs already hog the limelight of other prehistoric animals, even outside of Pokemon, and they could very easily just make dinosaur Pokemon into "regular" Pokemon, and they honestly should just make MORE "regular" Pokemon that are based on prehistoric stuff. That way they can get more creative with it, they don't have to get "stuck" with Rock type, and we can get more than like 2 every other gen.

If we don't get crystal palace iguanadon and megalosaurus then it would be an absolute disservice.

Plus, we honestly need a TON of fossils this gen to reference the Isle of Wight and make up for none in Alola.

This, dinosaurs already fit into kaiju. Permian animals can get pretty wacky and the only times they push into mainstream, they get mislabeled as dinosaurs.

How would anons react if GF ever made a game with only prehistoric Pokémon.
Imagine an island region inhabited only with ressurected prehistoric Pokémon something like Jurassic park but with prehistoric Pokémon from all eras (including plantmon like prehistoric conifers or giant ferns or objectmon like some fossilized minerals).
About 160 new Pokémon in regional dex ( including all fossil Pokémon from previous generations + some Pokémon like Relicanth, Mamoswine and Lapras) + other pokemon in the postgame + legendary prehistoric Pokémon as version mascots (something like ancient kaiju).
Of course there is no need for all ressurected prehistoric Pokémon to be rock type.

Would like something like this?

Why not both? I love dinosaurs but I love other prehistoric critters too. I admit I'd really love a raptor pokemon, but that may not be really very likely given both archeops AND tyrantrum exist.

For my fakemon region, the fossils are a ground sloth and megalania, with a mosasaur single stage third fossil.

They don't have to make it feathered. Tyrantrum's own dex entry says it's supposed to have more feathers but the restoration process mutated it a bit. Same could be said for a hypothetical raptor Pokemon.
