Bulbasaur isn’t the best, Squirtle handles better due to broken ass TM usage but there are so many Water-types that it can feel like a waste at times. Bulbasaur has Bellsprout for competition which is actually comparable. Charmander is flat out pointless most of the game because Fire-types simply aren’t useful.
