She can "look" angry and still be a total sweetheart, that's why I even mentioned I know many girls irl like this, not every woman, real or not, needs to be a bubbly smiling idiot to get across that she is indeed happy and not some meanie cunt. Maybe try interacting more with people? Maybe it's because I'm not american, the land where you have to have a forced smile every second, people here reserve their smiles for when they genuinely mean it, but even if they aren't :D it doesn't mean they aren't happy. People show emotions in different ways, their faces work different, some people don't even look like they're smiling even when they feel like they are. Having a character that for once wasn't a generic all-smiles girl was refreshing, and I did say it was fitting that in such a situation she felt relieved and happy, but exaggerating it and making her like any other generic girl completely loses the point, and what made her special.
