>>38283168yes, you're absolutely correct. though in those cases we can perhaps look at aspects of the design, regardless of similarity of style, and make suggestions based on that. its fine to comment how something doesnt quite conform to an agreed upon style and its components. i would argue that one doesnt necessarily have to conform when making personal works.
that said i have my own criticisms of brasio's fakemon.
>>38275715the bull i feel is kind of a mess, the strange stunted proportions on the final evolution especially, how between the second and third stage it really suffers from Just gets bigger syndrome. For the cat, the first and second have a just gets bigger problem, with a drastic and id argue too human change in the final evolution. if he made the second stage bipedal it would flow a lot better. the grass is good, but i dont like the single toe on the first stage, nor how it seems the legs stick straight out from the side. the head feels too round and flat faced and makes it feel really inorganic too.
I would give the fire starter a more bull like rather than human like head, really beef up the arms and make em bigger, and only give the middle stage some armor rather than full plate like the final stage. for the water i would as i said make the middle stage bipedal, give it similar poofy sleeves. and the grass starter kind just needs to be made to look more like a real frog imo.
