Honestly, don't listen to people here on /vp/.
I've seen a good suggestion here and there, but for the most part, people get way too crazy with their ideas.

You're better off putting together a small team of friends who really know Pokemon to dump ideas.

Furret's special movepool is actually quite varied. This would differentiate it from every other regional rodent.

>Swap Volbeat and Illumise's stat layouts
Volbeat has Tail Glow, but can't even make use of it because GameFreak gave him 47 Sp. Atk. Giving him Illumise's 75 would go a long way.

>Change Grumpig's hidden ability to Magic Bounce
Magic Coat was sorta Grumpig's signature move, so it feels wrong that it didn't get this ability while Espeon and Xatu did.
>Boost Grumpig's Defense by 10 (60->75)
Grumpig isn't a powerhouse, so this helps differentiate it from Espeon/Xatu by being bulkier. Let's pretend Mega Diancie doesn't exist.

>Change Whiscash's hidden ability to Simple
Whiscash has never really stood out, especially not compared to other Water/Ground Pokemon. Simple is an uncommon ability, and fits a Pokemon that is said to be... well, simple-minded. As for how this buffs Whiscash, it does get Dragon Dance (and Amnesia if you really want to go that route), so this lets it set itself apart from not just other Water/Grounds, but other Dragon Dancers as well.
>Boost Wishcash's HP by 10 (110->120)
This very slightly increases Whiscash's bulk. As Simple turns Dragon Dance into Swords Dance+Agility, it doesn't need extra power.

>Give Lumineon Quiver Dance.
Lumineon is a butterfly fish, and this is already referenced by its learnest containing otherwise out of place moves like Gust, U-Turn, and Silver Wind.
>Boost Lumineon's Sp. Atk +20 (69->89)
It stats seem like they were intended to be well-rounded; however, its offenses are not only incredibly overwhelming, but most of its movepool is special. This makes its Sp. Atk more usable, especially with Quiver Dance.

Ledian hits like a wet noodle, so this makes it not the case without actually affecting its stats. This also makes it unique from other Bug-types, especially early ones. You could instead just jack up its Attack stat, but that's not as fun to me.

>Boost Ariado's Defense by 15 (70->85) and Sp. Def by 15 (70->85)
This gives Ariados 70/85/85 defenses, fairly reasonable for something so slow.
>OPTIONAL: Change Swarm to Prankster
This would let Ariados circumvent its poor Speed to an extent, and its status move options are decent. SM gave it a neat new signature move in Toxic Thread. I don't know if this would be excessive, though, even if this Ariados would only have a BST of 430.

>Change Slugma's/Magcargo's hidden ability to Dry Skin
In lieu of an "evaporation" ability, Dry Skin could still make sense on Magcargo, and eliminates one of its main weaknesses.
>Boost Magcargo's HP by 10 (60->70)
A very slight increase to its overall bulk pairs well with Dry Skin to make it last longer.

>Boost Lanturn's Sp. Atk by 10
Allows Lanturn to better deal damage, and is on the same level as other minor boosts other Pokemon got in Gens 6 and 7.

>Boost Delcatty's Sp. Atk by 40 (55->90)
Like Furret, Delcatty actually has a really colorful special movepool, but its terrible stats prevent it from doing anything. This both lets it take advantage, gives it more potential toys with Assist, and differentiates it from every other cat Pokemon, which are all physical attackers.
