- Regional Variants - An interesting way to effectively make old Pokemon new again that doesn't cut off the branches of evolution like Megas do, I hope we see more of these in the future just not at the cost of actual new Pokemon.
> Dislikes- Story, couldn't really get invested in it, I don't really buy the dynamic between Gladion and Lusamine, Gladion is way too quick in his turn around and Lusamine is a pretty boring villain all things considered, the rest of the cast is boring or annoying for the most part, Lillie is fine initially but doesn't really do anything, this whole concept of her overcoming her fear of Pokemon battling is kinda just ignored for the entire game.
- New Pokemon - The number is still too low for my liking and the lack of evolutionary relatives to old Pokemon is disappointing, it's also disappointing that we got fuck all Two-Stage Evos and instead got a metric fuck ton of new legendaries (or equivalents), the group that I loathe its existence.
- The Region - Alola sucks as a region it's just an amusement park there's no sense of interconnectedness, yeah the other regions fuck up in tiny amounts as well but not to the level of Alola (aside from maybe Kalos), if it wasn't for the story taking me out of the experience the region would be the one doing it
- Trials - The Trials are boring and a massive downgrade from the Gyms, the Gyms were never super difficult but at least you could challenge yourself a bit by battling every trainer and the Gym Leader without healing in one swoop, that challenge seems to have evaporated from the trials, also doesn't help that only one trial in USUM, Sophocles' one has anything resembling a puzzle the rest may as well just have the Totem Pokemon face you right from the get go.
- Framerate - This is the biggest reason that I won't go back to play Gen 7.
