Does this reveal something new in typing for Armoured Mewtwo?

Positron or Positive Electron may be a new powerful Signiture Move for Mewtwo. Not sure which but most likely Psychic.

Either way Gf use Armoured Mewtwo in the Demo.

No, the kanji is fine, that's the way Pokemon moves are classified in Japanese.

It's a "normal" move (meaning it targets one Pokemon on the opponent's side) and is classified as special.

Online? Yes.

Pic related is from the official Pokemon movie website talking about the moves the new event Mewtwo has, you can see them using the same kind of description and the same classification listing (though they don't list all the data here)

What would be the fun of having a decades year old design when not even the pokémon keeps its original design? I'm sure they could come up with something way better (not that I dislike the original armored Mewtwo, though)

Well I can't argue that, but there is something, at least personally about old Mewtwo that I liked better, at least from what I'm seeing here, hope its fake honestly. I'd rather just keep Mega/Regionals rather than keep tacking on new things for the same old Pokemon really.

Looking at the text again, I don't think official material actually uses the phrase "by 1/2 stages" for stat drops/increases, it uses "raises/lowers" and "sharply raises/lowers".
"Stage" is fan terminology.

I think so, but a lot of mythicals are still unavailable as shinies.
Shiny mythical distributions are ridiculously rare.
It'd be weird if we couldn't have shiny Cosmog line and Necrozma by the end of gen 7, though. They gave us shiny Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde at the end of gen 6, after all.

Shininess in the VC games is based on IVs and iirc the Mew distributed for RBY had fixed IVs.
However, if you catch a Mew yourself via glitch it should be possible for it to be shiny, though you'd have to calculate the IVs yourself and then use a different glitch to change its OT and ID so Bank will accept it.
