her name is genia and she's from poke-poland
she's smart but a social retard, her only friend is a rotom
she's forced into an adventure by her adoptive father who wants her to stop being a hikki neet and go make friends
later on she meets other kids who started their journeys but doesn't get really close to them, they're more like acquaintances than friends to her
in fact, she's not even that close to her rotom, she thinks it just decided to stay with her because of its curious personality, that rotom just wants to know more about the world like she does
one day when she finishes studying a bunch of rhyhorn, she gives one (the weakest of the bunch, who couldn't get food for himself) a berry to thank him for letting her study him and his fellow rhyhorn
this rhyhorn gets instantly attached to her and ends up following her, so she has no choice but to catch him
rhyhorn is extremely protective of her, and even if he's not the strongest pokemon, he's not afraid of trying his best to protect his only friend
thanks to rhyhorn genia gradually learns some empathy and starts to appreciate friendship, which also strengthens the bond between her and her rotom
tl;dr rhyhorn teaches an autist about the power of friendship
