[Sword and Shield News]
This is all true. You may screenshot this and see how it's all real once more official information gets out.
New Gameplay-Mechanic:
[Armored-Stances]
>Offensive-Stance allows you to deal 50% more damage, but you receive 50% more damage, as well as making it more likely you inflict status-conditions. (Meaning for example, using Flamethrower increases the chance to burn.)
>Defensive-Stance makes you deal 50% LESS damage, but you also receive 50% less damage, as well as making it impossible for your opponent to lower your stats.
>Neutral-Stance doesn't change anything.
>The two main-stances have a 1-Round cooldown. For example, after you got into Offensive-Stance, you got to use Defensive or Neutral-stance the next turn.
>Neutral-Stance doesn't have a cooldown.
[New Status-Condition called "Fear"]
>Take minor damage at the end of every turn, as well as cutting your Special-Attack in half. Basicially Burn for Special-Pokemon.
>Astounish, Crunch and Dark Pulse all lost their secondary affect, in favour of having a chance to inflict Fear instead.
>New move called "Terrify", which is like Will-O-Wisp for Fear.
>Dark-types cannot be feared. (But Ghost-types can, for some reason.)
[Some other changes]
>Ice-types now resist Fairy and Water.
>Moonblast, Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse now have 90 base-damage
