I concede on Beast Boost due to Celesteela.
>Except Scald and other bullshit rng has decided plenty of matches in official metas. This is not powercreep. Powercreep would be if Scald had higher BP and made other water moves completely worthless, but that's not the case for now.
>In not a single metagame, official or not has a Nasty Plot user been broken because of Nasty PlotAgain, it's not about being broken. If we were to fix "broken" I'd say "give up" because pokemon is fundamentally fucked up. But we CAN lower down powercreep, or the general level of power, which is why I included Nasty Plot as it's an insanely powerful option to the pokemon that learn it.
With that said, Naganadadada went to ubers. Also I've provided the Lucario example. Mew and Celebi just gets a pass because they can't Baton Pass it. If we were to take other gen examples, there's also Thundurus.
You're taking examples and saying that it isn't "thanks to Nasty Plot", but ignore the role that it plays. A pokemon doesn't exists with its features isolated, we can't take one thing and say "that broke it". Would Blaziken be uber without this buffed version of High Jump Kick?
So if I were to nerf High Jump Kick (as I said that I would with the blanket physical nerf) to preserve the Speed Boost ability for other pokemon to use while lowering the powercreep, you would be against it, saying that it isn't High Jump Kick what makes it broken.
For defense creep I proposed making recovery moves (that became too prevalent in gen 4) heal less in successive uses.
>>38275313We're fixing powercreep, not broken...
Shell Smash is the best boosting move in the game after Geomancy. It alone made worthless Pokemon relevant. It's not that used anymore because powercreep ironically caught up with it.
