It varies a lot now. Generally, ever since gen 5, they've tried to match the most current game's animation.
Ironically, Game Freak has recently made it yellow to match how it used to be in the anime so it's gone full circle.

They probably will just put Donphan in there, but it's certainly a possibility that they could put in a new Pokemon. Who knows.

Gonna laugh when you get btfo. It's more than likely a new Pokemon. If it was Donphan they would have no reason to show that part of the movie. Now that it's clearly a different scene and more than likely a new Pokemon, of course they're gonna use the hype behind it to their advantage and get more people to watch it.
