Are there any fangame tropes that you guys hate? I'm tired of not being able to win using mono-poison. Why people think Pokemon should be "challenging" is beyond me.

I should be able to win with any Pokemon I want. That's how it is in the real games and these fangame developers need to understand that's what Pokemon is about.

Your sentiment is pretty understandable OP

I've personally ALWAYS thought that there should be a way for you to make any Pokemon you want strong enough if you really wanted to. Like, if you really, REALLY wanted to train a Weedle to be strong enough to tussle with OU guys. Honestly though I feel like all monster collecting games should do this to at least some extent

I don't mind a LITTLE bit of maturity, but it's always taken wayyyy too far. To the point it's cringe and ruined.
I also would like the idea of a trainer having a shiny, to make the game world feel more authentic. Like I'm not the only person in the world who's an actual trainer. But it's never done right.

It sucks because everything I'm reading in this thread would be cool (except the selfinsert boss shit) in a game if done right, but it literally never is.

why do so many people, even on this board, think this is acceptable? types are a key part of a Pokemon's identity.
I can't actually think of any situation where I'd find a fangame changing types to be acceptable. Just make a fakemon.

Stupid, monotype poison runs in main series games is totally doable, they can take on steel thanks in part to their movepools, and the fact that the main game is based around choosing your favorites. Solo-running any type is possible.
