Like, this shouldn't be hard to understand. Literally all you have to do is make sure to draw the pokemon from enough angles that every shape of their body is understandable. The easiest way to do that is a front, profile and back drawing (or, with something like Mareanie here that has some radial symmetry, a front, side and top), then some extra drawings to clarify details and some dynamic posing and/or expressions to show how the face works.
That's all you fucking need but so many of them either forget crucial parts, OR they got the opposite problem and fill the sheet with really pointless shit like bisections that don't show anything special about a shape.

>>38282397Just 7 drawings. shows the front, side and back of the main body clearly, shows what the hands look like from the side since the rest of it from the side is just flat, and then there's a few extra different angles (with a dotted line to show the shape of the head behind the crescent), and a bigger picture showing the weird third eye's design.
From those few drawings, you got EVERYTHING you need to be able to craw the creature. The only thing that you could argue isn't there is the back of the wings, but the person in charge of making this into a 3D model would probably have been told (if it's not already written there in the japanese, can't read moon) that the yellow parts of the wings are XY symmetrical.
