No. I don't play competitively so I just roll with whatever pokemon I find and like. I'll make a point to have a good spread of move types, but that's about it.
I also don't develop a bond or attachment to them either though. I'm playing through HG now and I'm forcing myself to use nicknames, so we'll see if that changes things. At the moment it's just lead to me spending a lot of time on wiktionary looking up translations for crocodile, lizard, ferret etc to try and find suitable names, but they're at least sorta personal

I don't think I've ever even looked at that stats screen for my pokemon, at most I check their nature to see what their "personality" would be like
I also don't do competitive or multiplayer pokemon though, because being forced to check stats and train EVs, etc. would take out the endearing parts of pokemon for me

Pokemon is, thankfully, one of the few games I don't feel the need to min-max in to still feel competent enough for the gameplay

I don't play competitely so I have no idea, but understand people will hack to win the prize money.

I just play the game, starting with all three starters after trading from one copy and resetting the beta copy to start again.

I will balance my team to have all 18 types on my team, so knowing what the starters final typings are is important for me, then knowing what I can catch.

I would like to use:
> Flygon
> Aegislash
> Absol

So I am hoping for the starters to have typings like Fighting, Psychic and Electric

Er 6 Pokemon that learn all 18 types it's do able. 3 Pokemon that learn the other type moves, I teach them other type Moves, Fighting usually learn Poison Jab, then Psychics learn Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam.

Ask me a main region and I will tell you the team I would use.

In that case I guess I should tell you that nobody thought you were talking about moves. Having a type on your team usually means it's a Pokemon's type.
Also, those last three aren't from Kanto.

Okay I will give people that and remember that types are also known also as Pokemon. Sorry for the confusion..

Also we should not confine Pokemon to regions, okay Gallade is from Sinnoh, Absol from Hoenn and Rhyperior is Rhydon evolved form from Sinnoh, but they can exist there, its not like we have to use onky Kanto mons.

Well some are:
>Flamethrower and Blast Burn will burn
>Ice Beam will freeze
>Sludge Bomb will Poison
>Thunderbolt will paralyse

They cause damage and have a chance of inflicting a status effect.

That's not a status move though.
You literally have 24 attacking moves.

It is only learn able via move reminder, but I also need a. Dusk Stone so any time after Lv 51 Doublade can evolve and also learn King's Shield via move reminder who's cost is usually findable as a pick up or fishing spot.

I don't find it inefficient, just more of a challenge like team building.
