>>38285057so. a real zebra eye doesn't have that kind of eyelid because it serves no function. they have big round eyes on the side of their head facing outward, to spot predators. by changing the shape of the eye and the orientation of the pupils, you'd have to fundamentally change its design and behavior.
what the idiot on the right is trying to do is have binocular vision, but nothing else about the anatomy is changing around it, making a functionally broken animal. it would be able to see in two shallow cones pointing lightly away from its nose. everything and their mother would eat it or kick its ass, pokemon stats/quality notwithstanding.
say what you will about gamefreak and however they caricature their creatures, they do tend to place eyes in the proper area for what the creature is meant to be.
