>>38285244Gen 1: Set a really good foundation for the series, great for its time, but the series has grown so much since then.
Gen 2: Cool idea to include Kanto for postgame, but the level curve, pokemon distribution, and evil team was the worst in the entire series.
Gen 3: Awesome evil team idea, great graphics, overall great games.
Gen 4: DP were shitty but platinum fixed the speed issues. Great region and great mons. Evil team is kinda meh though.
Gen 5: Super cool how they actually made you use the new mons instead of shoving the old ones down your throat (cough cough johto cough cough) but with such a large dex, a lot of the mons were pretty bad. Artstyle and story were still amazing.
Gen 6: First 3D game, and it was pretty good for its time. Too much KANTOOO though.
Gen 7: Even better graphics than gen 6 but the story took up way too much of the gameplay. Still not bad games but I personally didn't like them as much. Region was also probably the worst in the series.
Overall I like 4 the best, yeah
