Beauty pageants are horrible things, but we amerifats on different sides of the spectrum hate them for different things. I would bet my bottom fucking dollar many Americans dislike them on principle.
-Left-wing leaners think it produces terrible consequences for young womens' self-esteem and magnifies commercialization of impossible beauty standards at every organizational level of society. (most of this is what i got FROM left-wing individuals in middle school and high school. take it with a grain of salt)
-Right-wingers (especially those of us, like myself, who are big on religion) would rather...not...see children sexualized in such a manner. And even if sexualization wasn't the issue here, it's fucking crass as shit how they dress the kids. Like shit man, read them Emily Post or something.
