Spinda is the worst Pokémon. I will never have the perfect Spinda as my Pokédex picture because there are nearly 5 billion versions. It was bad enough in Gen IV when the gender or form you saw first became the permanent picture. It took them until Gen V to fix that, and then until Gen VII to cut out redundant Male and Female images.
>>38299296Agree, but less in the sense of progressing through main route roadblocks and more in the sense of having access to every little hidden side area hiding a special item, Pokémon, Trainer, or character. Those are your rewards for inhibiting your team. I still like certain story HM roadblocks like Surf, Waterfall, Dive, and Strength puzzles. Fly, Flash, and Defog have never actually been necessary, and Fly is the only one that's not situational. Cut, Whirlpool, and Rock Smash pretty much just remove the obstacle in front of you, with Cut having the added benefit of removing grass and Rock Smash leading to certain encounters and items. Whirlpool is visually interesting, and I like them all as optional roadblocks, though I did like the Cut tree in Ilex Forest as it at least fit the area and Cut was obtained through an interesting way and relevant to the immediate story.
>>38299316I think that TMs should be single use until some point in the post-game where you can complete individual challenges for each TM you've found (it would keep track even if you used it up) to make each TM infinite. Having infinite access to TM moves in the main game is just too easy to break, and you only really need them for battle facilities and post-game multiplayer.
>>38299734Agree in the sense that I probably would have preferred regular evolutions for Pokémon that weren't already in their third stage and how it felt like it just ended up being the gimmick of the Gen that they abandoned. It would have been fine for Pokémon like Blaziken, Ampharos, and Alakazam, but Pokémon like Audino and Mawile would be fine having actual evolutions.
