His pre-evo was my first interaction with pokerus. When I first caught a sandygast, I didn't know he had pokerus. I was just excited to have my one of my favorite Alolamons on my team. Lo and behold, when I go to check my Torracat after a battle, there's that little pink sign. I think I nearly shit myself. Thanks for the good memories, Palossand.

Its weird but I like it. Its a least a better object mon than trubbish or geodude. The idea of ghosts possessing something is also basic while still interesting.

Special Ground types are usually better than physical ones, imho.
They handle Rock (not during Sandstorm) and Steel types much better since they're typically much frailer on the special side.
I used a defensively-built Palossand with Sand Tomb, Toxic, Sandstorm, and Shore up once. It performed extremely well.
It's cry is cool and it has a funny name.

This horrific beach monster lends itself to some fun sets. You can trick a Lagging Tail on your opponent's offensive Mon then bring them down with a Destiny Bond or heal in their face. Weakness Policy sets are also good, usually with setup like Rock polish. It's also one of the few Ground types with Grass coverage outside Torterra.

Two things it needs though: A water immunity in Sand Compaction and a Ghost-type Giga Drain.

I like it. Was the fist shiny I went for in gen 7. Shame about the stats, hate that they gave almost everything in Alola such low BSTs.

Ended up using this in Ultra Moon. Palossand is actually really good, especially against Molayne and Olivia.
